Japanese author Shinsuke Yoshitake is one of my favourite picture book creators. From death to getting dressed, he tackles topics for kids in hilarious but extremely helpful ways with cute comic-style illustrations and an absolutely wild imagination. Why Do I Feel Like This? looks at anger and bad moods. Why do they happen and what can help us to feel better? Distraction, naps, hiding, friends and food! It’s all in here.
There are so many funny little illustrations, ideas and details in this book – I think reading this would lift anyone out of a terrible mood. If you feel like Godzilla and could crush a whole city, or have a crabby little Godzilla in your life, spend some time with this book and you’ll soon be smiling for sure. For ages 3+.
