Shop manager, Readings Hawthorn

We are looking for a passionate Shop Manager to work on a full-time, permanent basis. The incumbent is responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day operation of the store including overall profitability, management, and supervision of staff; supervision of administrative functions; security of inventory and resources; customer service; merchandising and promotion; and stock maintenance.

The ideal applicant will have demonstrated:

  • Experience working in an Australian book industry.
  • 2-3 years previous experience as Assistant Manager or similar level within a retail industry.
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Demonstrated inventory skills including merchandising and stock maintenance.
  • Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety.
