The 2012 ARIA Awards were announced last night.
Winner of Album of the Year was Goyte (Wally De Backer) for Making Mirrors. Goyte also won Best Australian Live Act, Best Male Artist and Best Pop Release.
Melbourne group The Temper Trap won Best Group and Best Rock Album for The Temper Trap.
Kimbra won Best Female Artist for her debut album Vows.
Other winners included Missy Higgins, who won Best Adult Contemporary Album for The Ol’ Razzle Dazzle and Best Video Award for her single Everyone’s Waiting, and the Hilltop Hoods, who won Best Urban Album for Drinking From the Sun.
