I write about my dialogues with a young Catholic priest who witnessed misery and pain in India and saw that his religion ought to change its focus of worship and go out where "healing wounds" is needed, following the example of Christ's parable of the "Good Samaritan". He sees that the worship should shift from being directed mostly up toward Heaven back down to Earth, where God resides in each one of us. As the non-canonical Gospel of Thomas states, Christ says: The kingdom is inside of you and outside of you. If it were in the sky, the birds would precede you; if it were in the ocean, the fish would precede you (Thomas 3).
There is hope that all religions would come under an umbrella of spiritual essence of ultimate respect and true love of all creatures, big and small, just like they were intended to be, just like Jesus Christ asked us to do.
