The Dachshund Whisperer

Sydney Elder never thought her pet psychic abilities would amount to anything more than calming a nervous cat or keeping an overly excited dog from dragging his owner down the street. But when she agrees to pet sit a destructive dachshund named Dudley, she is shocked to discover that the dog can talk to her telepathically and with a British accent no less. This opens up a whole new world of communication-one that Sydney quickly utilizes when a boy and his dog go missing in a local park. Newspaper reporter Carter Hansen can't help but notice the overweight dachshund and pretty redhead "discussing" where to look for the lost twosome. Skeptical Carter places his bet on the trained law enforcement bloodhounds officially there for the search. But he's quickly proven wrong when the amateur duo finds the boy and his dog in minutes.

Dubbed local heroes, Sydney and Dudley continue to be called upon to help others with their special skills, and Carter's been assigned to document it all-only he can't figure out how they're communicating. He asks Sydney to explain, but she can't. Or won't.

The more their lives become intertwined, the more the funny little dachshund brings together the two people he cares about the most, both of whom have given up on love. Can Sydney, Carter, and even Dudley overcome their own trust issues? If so, all three might finally find their forever home in each other.
