Being Secaucus

A TALE OF AMBITIONAlthough Secaucus's people were decimated in a fire during the Pequot War, he still describes himself as the son of a sachem. Captured by the Narragansett, he has no status and can't rise to prominence. Instead, he joins the Puritans and dreams of becoming a sea captain on one of their glorious ships. While he builds his life, tensions continue to escalate between the Puritans and the Narragansett. To push back the Puritans, the Narragansett burn the city of Providence, Secaucus's adopted hometown. Suspended between two worlds, Secaucus needs to resolve who he can be.
