Her Story

It's no secret that the world seemed to be crumbling down around us in 2020. It seemed that within mere days, businesses were shuttering their doors, events were cancelled, sports organizations were cancelling entire seasons, and the world seemed to come to a screeching halt. It was in the days that followed that I noticed the stress wearing so quickly on my friends and family.

I had to do something, so I took to writing a daily post on my social media, in hopes that it would provide them a positive spot moment in their uncertain days. Whether I did anything unique or fun in my day or not, I wrote.

I wrote to keep a connection, to share, and to hopefully inspire those who knew me, to keep the faith that things would get better, and that at some point, life would return to some sort of normalcy.

This book is a collection of my daily social posts from 2020. Some entries are funny, some are serious, all are from my heart. I hope you enjoy reading them as much as I enjoyed sitting down each day and writing them. Her Words - Kelly's Ordinary Life in Extraordinary Times: 2020, is the first in a series that will feature her adventures in 2021 and 2022.
