"Imposter Syndrome" is a suspenseful thriller novel with notes of supernatural and horror. A young teenage girl and her family are taking their annual family vacation to their cabin in the Appalachian Mountains, enjoying their quality time and hopping into their secluded routine. They're sitting by the crackling fire when there's a knock at the door, and on the other side comes the matriarch of the family's voice, asking to be let in. Against her father's wishes, Amelia King opens the door, and her fate is sealed.

Now, Amelia must fight through the following days, fighting to get to safety before the imposters come out every single night, and fight against the alarming feeling that all of this is somehow made by her imagination, and face the ultimate haunting truth that she is the reason her family is dead.

There are themes of guilt, mental illness, and the will of a human to survive. Compassion, and trust is tested throughout the book, with constant feelings of betrayal of herself, and others. Whenever she finds herself relaxing, she feels as though it leads to someone always getting hurt, and this is something that takes a large amount of her heart away.
