When young Nilo learned that his father, The Sublime Costan, Master of Escape, had been found catatonic in Moroskaya's capital, he was on the next train out. But seeing Costan face-to-face shed no light on how he came to be there, and the hospital's files pointed to, amazingly, the Spirit Walker, a foreign airborne luxury liner. Nilo has to do something-the tiny Moroskayan Soviet Republic is coming apart at the seams and civil war is imminent.
