Kirra Smith is your average teenage girl, except she isn't average and she isn't even human. Growing up as a refugee from a war on her home planet, Kirra spent her last 10 years on Earth. Between trying to find out where she belongs as a person and who she is, she also has to deal with not fitting in with her own species. Already struggling with the difficulties of being a refugee, she navigates the problems of being a teenage girl and an outcast to her own kind. As though all of that wasn't difficult enough, things take a sudden turn for the worse when the war from her home planet makes its way to Earth. As the war spills over, Kirra finds herself having to adapt to a new way of living to survive those who are searching for someone called the Prophecy. She'll have to learn quickly else it could be the end of her...
