After generations of isolation, the colonial planet of Thrive is being welcomed back into the Imperium: There couldn't be a better time to celebrate. Unless you are Doctor Evun Gloss, whose life's work is on the verge of being validated, having translated the ancient Mongden Codex. All that is needed now is to follow its clues to confirm his discovery.

The Imperium however has reconnected with the colony and stopped all research which has left Evun without a job, without his discovery and without hope. With the help of Evun's determined friends however, they seek to finish uncovering this ancient mystery no matter what the authorities have to say. They end up in far more than they had planned, as they are whisked to an impossible planet where they are held prisoner by a mysterious group of refugees. Navigating new and strange worlds will be risky; surrounded by questionable adversaries and vicious beasts, As they do their best to survive and hopefully find out the deeper mysteries of the codex and who or what is MoTina.
