Daughters of the Black Rose

Gleanna Gilkenning wants nothing more than to become a performer in a traveling faire and escape the mundane future that lies ahead of her in the backward village of Gandalvane where she grew up. Her prayers to escape such a future are answered-but not as she envisioned. Her "gift" for farseeing (both physical and mental) begins to develop into other talents after a visit from a feisty bird twice her size.
