I flee the capital with a fractured heart and shattered soul, seeking solace with a coven that promises to educate me in the magical arts.

Although I'm broken in more ways than one, the war that once loomed on the horizon has arrived. Battles wage, blood stains the streets, eyes empty of life haunt my sleeping and waking hours.

When I learn that I have to power to stop a great force of evil driving my enemies, my only option is to become strong enough to prevail or die and sentence everyone on my planet to a horrible death.
