Book 5 - Buddy Bear is the first book in the series where Doctor Owlkin and The H.O.M.E. Team go out into the world to help other animals. Buddy Bear is everybody's friend. He might not be the biggest, the fastest, or the smartest, but he is the friendliest.

While playing hide and seek in the woods with his friends Buddy Bear smells, then hears a forest fire! While Buddy Bear is leading all his friends from danger he remembers that the Racoon family just moved in and might not know where to go to safety.

Buddy Bear runs back to help, but the Racoon home is already on fire.

As Doctor Owlkin always reminds the team, "It doesn't matter what you look like on the outside, it's WHOOOOOO you are on the inside that matters most!"
