What are readers saying?
"I appreciated the warmth and personal perspective you brought to it-it's clear that you genuinely care about helping coparents find a more positive path forward. The stories and experiences you shared add an authenticity that make it very approachable. I thought the interviews were very touching, especially the one that didn't happen. I think your positive, encouraging tone will resonate with many coparents, especially those seeking support and reassurance." - Al Huntoon, Expert Coparenting Guidance
"Your book is very endearing and offers some great insights. The worksheet questions are thought provoking. I'll certainly offer your book as a resource for the parents I work with." - Casey Wesdock, Licensed Clinical Social Worker/Trained Co-Parent Facilitator for High Conflict Custody cases
The comment that sparked the book:
At a parent-teacher conference many years ago my ex-wife, Jackie, and I met a new teacher that had recently moved to our school district. Before the conference I'd noticed that I wasn't receiving school paperwork at my house. And as I'd done with other teachers, I thought I was reminding her that we need a copy of all paperwork sent to each house so we're both fully informed and she being surprised, asked, "What, you're divorced, I never would have thought that by watching Abbie in class." Jackie and I had tears of relief that we must be doing something right in our relationship, so much so, that a teacher couldn't tell our daughter was from a separated home!
For Kids' Sake, Be Great will show you the simple things we do for the betterment of our children, placing their emotional and physical welfare foremost resulting in healthy and happy children in separate homes. The book also addresses the emotional health of us caregivers allowing us to move forward in a positive direction after our separation. The book is filled with firsthand accounts, some sad, some happy, but my hope is you will find answers for your situation and have a joyful and productive life for your kids and for yourself.
