All that remains of Marigold's parents is a secret locket she keeps hidden under her

sweater. Nobody knows about it, except her best friend, Kai. Kai is kind - and he isn't afraid

of rats.

When an accident breaks open Marigold's locket, she discovers her parents left her a map

and a mission: to bring magic back into the world.

But restoring the mythical Elemental Stone means crossing the Forbidden Unknown...and

that's if they can escape Ms. Bellfur and Cedar Grove first.
