A mischievous maritime adventure! Roger (the main character) takes his Ohio Machine Company friends and their wives on a two-week vacation on a ship he buys, known as Caribou, after listening to an Ohio radio broadcaster's advice on how it's the perfect time of year to explore the coastal waterways. Roger and his friends stay aboard a ship that none of them have great knowledge of. The story is told from Roger's perspective of things, in a daily "journal like" format, recording the drama that his group encounters in traveling to their ship, then nautically trying to overcome the East Coast's waters around Maine. As a group, they sail through events unknown to them. There's also a bonus story, called A.D. and B.C. in this book, which is the tale of a man (B.C.) who befriends a young boy (A.D.), and the series of daily events that lead the main character (B.C.) to reflect more on his ex-girlfriend, than that he might be the child's father. This is a PG-13 book (sex, profanity, etc.).
