Air Force OSI Special Agent Alexandra (Alex) Yates accidentally ends up as the star in an independent movie being filmed in Tampa, Florida. Along the way she falls for the local studio owner, Jack Hailey, and begins dating him. But Alex tends to chase the men she dates away, and sure enough she does that to Jack.

Jack Hailey used to be a cop. After his father's death he takes over his independent movie studio and becomes interested in the star of his latest film. Eventually, she agrees to go out with him but just as things are going well, Alex pushes him away.

After filming is complete Alex goes back to her job at MacDill Air Force Base. When an airman from the base is killed on the set at Jack's studio, Alex and her partner are sent to investigate. Thinking Alex might be in danger, Jack hires protection for her and they end up rekindling their romance until a photo arrives that breaks them up again.

Alex and her partner, Robby, still need to work the case and find out who killed the airman. As they work the case with a detective from the local police Jack is seduced by his young assistant.

Can Alex solve the case and rescue Jack from his unexpected and dangerous predicament?
