Hip Hop Book Series is the brainchild of hip hop pioneer, Easy A.D., a pioneering MC, and one of the founding members of the Legendary Cold Crush Brothers. Throughout his career, from the beginning of hip hop culture to the present, AD has had the privilege of knowing and working with many of the key contributors to early hip hop culture. Some have high profile names, and others are lesser known - each one was important to building the foundation of hip hop culture. The Hip Hop Book Series will focus on the early years of featured artists through personal interviews, and the sharing of historical images. AD hopes that the books will give the readers the same experience that he and other young hip hop artists had prior to beginning their careers. As a young boy, AD and his friends stood in the audience watching in awe as their favorite hip hop group performed in a city park. Years later, AD looked out into the audience as he performed and saw the beaming faces of future hip hop artists who later thanked him for his inspiring performances. AD hopes that the extraordinary life stories in the Hip Hop Book Series will encourage young readers to work towards their dreams, and to reach out to kids who look like them once they've achieved their goals.
