Grace from Our Redeemer
David George Peters
These are weekly Sunday sermons for the second half of the liturgical year, Series B. They follow the ILCW (Inter Lutheran Commission on Worship) pericopes with a few changes suggested by Christian Worship: A Lutheran Hymnal (1993).
These sermons may be read for personal meditation or as a commentary on the biblical text. Small study groups or house churches may find them very useful as well. They might also be read to a congregation by a layman leading worship when a qualified pastor is not present to preach a sermon he has written himself.
The author wrote and preached the sermons in this volume while serving as a pastor to God's people at Epiphany Lutheran Church in Racine, Wisc., Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Nelson, Wisc., and Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Wabasha, Minn. The cover art is on display at Water of Life Lutheran Church in Racine, Wisc. It was painted by Melanie Pope Schuette. Grace and Our Redeemer Lutheran Churches lend their names to this series.
The author deeply appreciates the kindness and loving support he has always received from church members who have sat at his feet and listened to these messages-messages that are only meant to convey Grace from Our Redeemer.
Soli Deo Gloria!
