This is a story packed with adventure and Rainforest information. After falling into the Amazon River, Mariana the magic suitcase, is rescued by a pink dolphin who gives her a tour of the river. Mariana meets many river animals before the dolphin drops her by a small river community. Children on their way back from school found the suitcase and alert their parents. Mariana ends up in a village home where she meets the children's backpacks and further learns about forest and village life. The story is told by Mariana who not only speaks Bagali, the universal language of bags, suitcases and backpacks, but also knows animal languages and understand human languages. The story inspires children to appreciate nature, be curious about different cultures and lifestyles, and look at adversity as opportunity. The chapter book is aimed at 2-6 grade children.
