Sawyer Anne Martin lives with her mother in the GOOF, or the Golden Oaks and Oak Forest neighborhoods of Houston, Texas. Trying to juggle her barre teaching commitments, finishing a marketing degree, and caring for her only parent who has developed memory issues leaves Sam little time for pleasure with her good-looking, persuasive, and romantic boyfriend. When Sam persuades her mother to be evaluated by her doctor, hysteria and mayhem follow as her mother and aunt attempt to complete all the tests needed for a diagnosis.
