This children's book originated from a poem I wrote during my

Emergent Language and Literacy class at Moberly Area Community

College in Columbia Missouri. My teacher, Amy Martin encouraged me

to turn the poem into a book, believing it had the potential to become a

great story. Tracy Huang, head of the Education Department at MACC,

also supported the idea after reading my poem for her class. I am

grateful to Child Care Aware of Missouri and their T.E.A.C.H program

scholarship, which enabled me to attend and pursue my Early

Childhood Education Degree. Without their support, and without the

guidance of inspiring teachers, this book would have never been

written. Never stop believing in the impossible. Like a child, be curious,

learn, grow, and always be open to new discoveries.
