Lessons Learned for my Sons. The idea for an entire book about lessons learned germinated from the simple desire of a father to share his life experiences with his boys. And my ultimate goal wasn't to scribe another "Self Help" book. The idea is to motivate yourself, get friends to inspire you or professionals to guide you across 110 independent "choose your own adventure" stories. The first few stories I shared publicly were about what experiences I've had at work or home that would be valuable to share with my sons in the form of a lesson learned - even if they didn't "need" to learn those lessons right now. Since I was sharing them in the public domain, I quickly realized that many of these lessons learned applied to most everyone. Thus the name of this book, Lessons Learned for my Sons - Wisdom for Everyday Living and Inspiring Others. And "Others" can be sons, daughters, friends, work colleagues, direct reports, leadership, executives, Moms, Dads, etc. I hope this book facilitates the process of you, the reader, to support yourself and/or guide one or many others to discover useful "Aha" moments through these lessons learned.
