Dr. Kentaya Beeler knows and lives a life of purpose and public service. It's a life that she grew to know all too well as a young adult dealing with severe health challenges; both personally and with her parents. A native of St. Petersburg, Florida, Dr. Beeler holds a B.S. in Accounting from Florida A&M University, Masters in Taxation from Nova Southeastern University, and a Ph.D. in Business with a specialization in Accounting from Capella University. Her dissertation, aptly entitled, "Families' Decisions to Purchase Long-Term Care Insurance and Relevant Tax Deductions," was based on her personal experiences dealing with the healthcare system. Dr. Beeler is also an entrepreneur and an advocate for financial awareness and self-sustainability. The financial expertise she gained through her professional career as an Accountant and her personal battle of being diagnosed with a Brain Tumor, coupled with her experience serving as a caregiver for her mother during a season of acute illness and her late father who passed from Bone Cancer brought birth to CHAMOME', LLC which means Champion Of Me.
