As a child, he climbed to a rooftop to be closer to the sky and dream of flying. He had no fear because he didn't yet know how much hurt comes with falling
Firefighter, first Responder, Pilot, Skydiver became entangled under his plane, he risked his life to save her. Influential men offered him a job in espionage, and he became a ghost-a non-existent pilot flying on invisible plane. He faced his life with courage but when resilience failed, he had to confront nightmares.
About the Author:
Kevin's jaw dropping stories will have you wanting more. His life took him far: military service, firefighter, first responder, pilot. Kevin was a sought-after international pilot where his last position was flying a Gulfstream 5 jet contracted to the US Government. He always faced his life with courage, but like everyone, he has his demons to deal with. His story is meant to inspire those fighting their own battles. There is always hope.
Kevin Hughes has spent a lifetime helping others. He holds a Bravery Medal and an Order of Australia Medal for his efforts as well as three Australia Day Awards, the Australian National Medal and the Conspicuous Service Medal. Kevin is an Australian ambassador for several notable charities including Bravery Trust (supporting military veterans), White Ribbon International (violence against women), Black Dog Institute (mental health) and is an Australia Day ambassador for Queensland. He is also the Founder of the Endangered Species Supporters Australia.
Kevin is an International Speaker where he talks about Turning Fear into Courage, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Depression, Leadership, Motivational success, Stresses of day to day living and how to best conquer these hurdles. Currently he is battling cancer but he still has a formidable bucket list to raise money for charities: Paddling a kayak from Lord Howe Island to Brisbane, Breaking the World Parachute Tandem World Record of 45,000ft, Walking the Kokoda Track in Papua New Guinea, climbing Mount Aconcagua in South America and reaching the Base Camp at Mount Everest.

Roger Phillips, Wing Commander (Ret'd) 3 Squadron RAAF
An amazing life where the author reveals how personal sacrifice and a never give up attitude can lead to success. But at what cost? An inspirational book.
Stoll Watt BM VA (Ret'd) Inspector in-charge, Special Emergency Response Team
How much can one person endure? Kevin Hughes fought fires, helped road crash victims, flew covert missions, tried to save lives. This is a book full of mystery, adventure and survival.
