Ryder Roo is an 11 year old boy who finds out he and his family have to move from the big city to the country, just after his 5th grade graduation. The adjustment period is tough, but filled with ADVENTURE and a splash of MISCHIEF. Ryder has a massive imagination and creates vivid imagery in his mind when thinking through his BIG ideas... And boy do they get WILD!

In The Big Move, after the DEVASTATING news of leaving his big city home town, we officially meet Ryder on the driveway of his new house. His impatience leads him to ditch the moving truck to explore the massive backyard where he meets a FROG. Little does he know that frog will be his tormentor through the first few nights. Ryder spends his first few days on a MISSION to catch the frog that is consuming his thoughts and depriving him of sleep!

While that takes us for some FUNNY twists and turns, he's also dealing with his older teenage brother that just got his driver's license. They begin to form an unlikely BOND over the course of the book series and together learn to be flexible, adaptable, and open to opportunities. There's a lot of "learning the hard way" that unfolds while they are navigating this journey!
