These poems are a journey through man's troubled past, the chaos for which he is responsible in the present, and the uncertainty he presents in the future. The speaker sees decay in everything except love. Nevertheless, he convinces himself that man will always love no matter how evil the world has become. In one poem, the voice discovers the code of existence or the true essence of life as he travels through time. The singer urges him to leave the world he currently occupies since it is not real and is driven only by sin and the desires of the flesh. So much so that here:

The face of history is smeared with blood,

and will never be washed clean.

Killers left their footprints in the mud.

The world is mired in conflict after conflict

where projects protrude from a collapsed spleen...
