Cassandra Baker is a wealthy, semi-retired widow whose children are nearly grown. On the surface, all is well, but she misses her late husband, Edward. He was her soulmate, the only man she truly loved, and because of this, she has resigned never to marry again.

So, when she accidentally asks The Baker Brewing Company's new brewmaster, Colin McAllister, on a date, she's not sure how it happened. Physically, he's the opposite of Edward. Colin is a hard-working blue-collar guy covered in tattoos, with fading ginger hair and a heavy Irish accent. But like Edward, Colin is soft-spoken, kind, well-mannered, and the kind of man who could make her happy.

Nevertheless, there are obstacles to overcome before Cassandra can decide if she wants to open herself to love.
