Son of Prejudice and Pride

His attempt to win the heart of the girl he loved ended when he was cursed. It was a curse he brought upon himself, one that forced him into a monstrous shape, and one that only he could break. Chris Ranger always looked down on the dangerous werehumans who went around masquerading as humans. He must now rely on the help of Freya, the sister of the man who stole his girl from right under his nose, who also just so happens to be a werewolf. She offered to let him accompany her as she travels from kingdom to kingdom as a diplomat, in the hope that someone out there might have a clue on how he could break the curse slowly eating away at his humanity. But as the blackouts become more and more frequent, Chris fears that someday soon, he will hurt someone he cares about and lose himself entirely to the beast within.

It certainly doesn't help that Freya's pesky maid, Marie, insists on hovering around him, no matter how hard he tries to push her away. Her sweet and sunny disposition is the opposite of his grumpy attitude, and who can blame him? The closer she gets, the more likely it becomes that he might accidentally hurt her.

He is running out of time, as the beast and the man both struggle for dominance of his body and mind. Can he learn to be a better man by being trapped in the form of a beast? Or will he lose his chance at redemption forever?
