A haunting blend of action, adventure, mystery, and horror. The Vanishing Forest was discovered ten years ago in a national park, sequestered within massive stone walls. Any humans who entered never returned and the unmanned drones sent inside disappeared. Lili's parents were the first to encounter this walled-in forest. They also became its first victims, accidentally abandoning her to be raised by her uncle. As a young girl, she promised to never follow in her parents' footsteps, but things changed when she witnessed her mother exit the walls, her body mutated and deformed. After beckoning for Lili to follow, she slipped back inside. Lili wasn't foolish enough to obey her then, but after years of going mad with worry and curiosity, she's finally ready to launch a rescue mission against her uncle's will. Teaming up with a band of treasure-hunters, Lili ventures into the place that lured in hundreds before her, hoping to unravel the forest's mysteries and reunite her family. However, when the group stumble upon petrified human statues at the entrance, mutated nightmares lurking in the shadows, and survivors warning them to never leave, they realize why the walls were built in the first place and why the forest remained undocumented for so long.

A great read for fans of Attack on Titan, Maze Runner, The Ritual, and The Call.
