M. A. Zani de Ferranti performed multiple original works for guitar and string quartet in the 1830s and in the 1850s began performing versions for guitar and piano with his student Euphemie Wittmann, whom he later married. Although there was a newspaper announcement of the publication of at least one work for guitar and piano, no copies have been located. Only three manuscripts of works for guitar and piano are known with one of them incomplete. Presented in this edition are the full manuscript facsimiles and new engravings of the only two complete works for guitar and piano by Zani de Ferranti. Contents - M.
