Rae is still taking her life back after a nasty divorce. She splits her time between her job as a bartender and a studio tech. When a client at the studio ropes her into his demo tracks, her life seems to spiral out of her control.

Jacob is embarking on take two of his solo career. His new agent finds him a producer to help create a new sound. After years on the road with his successful boyband, he has no idea what to do with himself alone. One look at his producer's bass player has him tied up in knots of desire.

But Rae isn't ready to check out of her self-imposed recovery or rock the boat with the new band. All Jacob wants is to get inside her walls and love her. Will she ever accept his devotion, and can he accept her refusal? Or can they find their way together to new heights?
