Jeffrey Krueger began to explore writing to challenge his dyslexic learning disorder in 2004. He finished his first writing, a screenplay called The Maestro, in 2009, and at present is transposing it into a novel. He continued writing his autobiography, Volume 1 Cause and Effect: A Life's Journey, The Younger Years, and Volume 2 Cause and Effect: Light Invades the Darkness.
Although he hasn't completed these writing exercises, he states, "I may not finish these undertakings, but I continue to write. For in this creative process, I have discovered tremendous healing from certain childhood wounds."
He finished his first published book of poems on December 29, 2021: Dads 100 Poems, Riddles, and Songs in 100 Days.
Jeffrey started his second book on March 20, 2022, and finished on December 3, 2022: Dads 100 Poems, Songs, and Riddles Within, which is similar to his first book of poems. They range from sometimes silly subjects-a toaster, fork, toilet paper, stapler-to more serious reflections of life, aging, preserving the land, addiction, a Savior, tornadoes, hurricanes, senseless violence, the human condition. Also recording daily moments of the surroundings and habitat, including certain animals and insects. Some are commentaries on subjects such as freedom, war, and the environment. Many of his poems are also a reflection of his Judeo-Christian faith, believing in the power of prayer and the healing power of God's Holy Spirit.
Proceeds from the sale of Dad's 100 Poems, Songs, and Riddles Within are donated to the Family Needs Fund, a charity to help families in need.
