Dear Readers,
It's my pleasure to present to you, Oliver The Cranky Crocodile. Here I hope to entertain and amuse you, as well as introduce you to another world...one made up of crocodiles, kangaroos, and other Australian animal characters that want to tell their own stories and draw you into their lives.
This book is what I hope will be a first in a series as Oliver sometimes keeps me up at night with whispers that only I can hear about his comical adventures. And let me tell you...he has a lot to say! Hahaha! I hope that each book teaches a lesson about diversity and friendship, kindness, and second chances. I'm a big believer in each of us having the ability to make the world a better place and I hope that's what I'm doing by putting smiles on the faces of those who get to know Oliver and his little world.
I also wanted to take things a step further...I want to educate and hopefully spark an interest in learning more about some of the wonderful animals that you and your child will be getting to know with a feature called "Did you know and fun facts". Doing research for this book, there were so many things that I had preconceived notions about when it came to crocodiles and I thought these would be great truths to pass on and share.
I truly hope that you will enjoy Oliver, and that the reader will get as good of a giggle as the one being read to! I also invite you to follow and like Oliver's (Oliver the Cranky Crocodile) on social media, pages that I created for children to be able to interact with him and the other characters by asking questions, etc. There Oliver can also keep you up-to-date with his life in the bush!
