Cultivating Godliness

The book of Chronicles is a deeply spiritual book. There are many practical lessons to be learned by studying the lives of Israel's kings. Theologically rich topics, such as prayer, seeking God's face, humbling oneself, asking God for help, generosity, listening to wise counsel, and singing joyfully to the Lord, will be explored in this eight-week Bible study. Chronicles exhorts us to lift our eyes beyond our circumstances so that we may gain a fresh vision of God's glorious and everlasting kingdom. Worship of God in the Jerusalem Temple lies at the center of the covenant community, and it is central to our lives. These beloved stories in Chronicles will challenge us to cultivate godly habits in our lives, both individually and corporately, so that we might live up to our calling to be a worshiping and witnessing people among the nations.
