After the Empire Darcy & Will is a companion novella to C.L. Alden’s novel, The Empire.

Darcy Adams has a dilemma, and her dreams won’t let her forget it. In The Empire, we followed Darcy back to her hometown of Shoreton, Maine after weeks of being haunted by her mother in cryptic dreams that foretold trouble was brewing there. While searching for the connection between her dreams and the bizarre occurrences around town, Darcy not only discovers shocking secrets about her hometown, but she is also forced to confront painful elements of her own past that she thought were long buried.

In this companion story of The Empire, Darcy has returned to California and discovered that her mystical dreams have not subsided.

No longer warning Darcy of trouble in Shoreton, her dreams are now focused on a much more personal matter. During her trip to Maine, Darcy reunited with two men, who at different times in her life were very important to her; Will Martin and Eddie Barrett. Both are also connected to painful memories, yet they have dominated her recent dreams, captivating her heart once more. Confused about her conflicting emotions for these men, now entwined in her life again, Darcy must confront her feelings when dreams and reality collide.
