The Bashara girls, Aliyah and Amirah, have been getting into trouble at home and at school. Right before spring break, they are almost suspended. In leu of punishment, their parents take them on a family retreat to build a better relationship and help their behavior. The first day of the trip they run away to a small town to make their parents worry as payback for making them be on the retreat. During their visit to town, they visit a bookstore. The owner shares with them a story from a mysterious book. The story is of a slave called Franzel, and how he got blamed for his master's children's disobedience. The master cut his leg off as a means to force him to tell where the children were. He died from this and as legend would have it, he now hunts down disobedient children. This has the girls in distress because soon after they heard the story, strange things started happening. Every time they chose to disobey their parents, it seemed as if they could feel the presence of Franzel. This was enough to scare them and make them do what was right. Until the night of the party. Their best friend talked them into staying out late. Read of the horror they faced!
