The name ‘Mootsie’ came from a Finnish friend we knew when mother became a grandmother. The real name for Grandmother in Finnish is ‘Isoaitti’ which must have sounded like ‘Mootsie’ and… the name stuck. After losing her husband (our Pop), Mootsie continued traveling with family and friends and serving in her church and community. She shared her generous, gregarious personality with all who knew her and many… who were strangers. She has left her 4 children, 20 grandchildren and 65 great grandchildren a legacy of endurance, faith, loving service and a stellar example of how to be a caring and enthusiastic contributor to life.
