The Architect of the Universe is displeased with the way humans are behaving on Earth. You watch the news on TV. God assembles a conclave to proclaim there will be a Planetary Cleansing and designates Jeremiah Delossantos to be His prophet; the one who will communicate the impending apocalypse to the people of Earth. The Creator summons Carlos, a temporary guardian angel, who has done work for him in the past, and tasks him with guiding and protecting the prophet.
