Sylvie Compton has been on her own since she bolted from foster care as a teen. Befriended by Bernice Davis, a resident at the seedy motel where she works, Sylvie finds herself stalked by a psychopathic serial killer and a depraved cop. A Theme Park for the Depraved features a cast of characters as eccentric and colorful as New Orleans itself. There’s Camille and Mason, detectives from neighboring jurisdictions who form an unlikely team to solve the murders. There’s Brittney, a single mom who’s been stripping since age thirteen and faces a bleak future until Sylvie offers her a way out. There’s Lionel, a homeless street performer who gets bullied into doing surveillance on Sylvie. There’s Z and Junie, two confused and angry young people trying to get into a criminal gang.
