Can a socially awkward single man who has had multiple failures with women still find a long-term relationship with a young woman late in his life?

That is the question at the core of this novella. The main male character has stirrings still (as Samuel Beckett titled one of his works) for the opposite sex. He is senex (Latin for old) but still amans (amorous). He is the proverbial dirty old man.

But is what he is doing socially and morally acceptable? It is a question the two main characters have to answer themselves.
