This a somewhat post-modern novel because it is combination of semi-autobiographical information, like brief essays expressing personal opinions on art or brief poems but also a totally fictional narrative. The brief essays are my own but have been superimposed onto the fictional narrator.
While this is fiction, terrorism is a very real issue, of course. And the writing is meant to deal with the tension between addiction and action, the former suggesting a sort of fetal passivity and the latter sober progression through an individual life and the world.
