The Book of Forgotten Angels

Some stories go deeper than words. Some hearts go deeper than love. Private detective Levi Morales has never worked a case like this one. At first it seems that the job will be easy, but the coveted first edition of the 1899 classic proves elusive. And if Levi can't find it in time, there's a lot more than money at stake.

Mae Wallace has worked hard to get her life right where she wants it. As the owner of the Angel River Cafe and a beloved member of the community, it's never occurred to her that she might be lonely. But everything changes when a tall, dark, handsome stranger comes knocking on her door.

As Mae and Levi work together to locate this precious and mysterious book, their search takes them on an unexpected journey. Through secretive hearts and secret compartments, to hidden cottages in the woods, and hidden places within themselves. And when the last page is turned, they will have to decide: do they write the next chapter, or close the book forever?
