SCRUFFY - A STORY ABOUT A DOG AND HIS BOY
Dogs have always been some of my favorite people . Since I was six years old, I have never been without at least one dog. Almost every dog that has lived with me were mixed breeds. Some were tiny and some were huge. Most were small to middle sized. All were well loved.
Almost every dog I have owned were given to me or rescued. The only registered dogs I had were my German Shepherds.
Each dog had it’s own special personality and left a lasting memory and a different story. My current dog is a ten-pound mixture of chihuahua and shi tzu.
To say I am a dog person is putting it mildly. I love, love, love dogs. I love stories about dogs. They are amazing and super smart if they have a human patient enough to teach them. (Sometimes dogs are smarter than their humans.)
I have a wall in my home where I hang pictures, sayings, certificates, etc. about dogs. Someone gave me a copy of an anonymously written piece that is special to me and I want to share it with you.
It came to me that every time I lose a dog they take a piece of my heart with them, and every new dog who comes into my life gifts me with a piece of their heart. If I live long enough all the components of my heart will be dog, and I will become as generous and loving as they are.-Anonymous
