Angels are among us. Sometimes visible while other times not. Caelum is an angel tasked with the responsibility to help mortals transition to the Afterlife. He loves what he is destined to do, but he keeps a cautious emotional distance from the mortals he helps cross over. Caelum keeps his thoughts and emotions to himself for the most part with the exception of sometimes opening up to his friend Adiel. Adiel tries to encourage Caelum to be less guarded and to open his heart more in order to experience the mortal emotion. Through it all, Caelum finds himself continuing to be wary. Wary, until he meets a mortal woman that consumes his every thought. A woman who is struggling with something that Caelum does not want to face. While watching over her, his once cautious trait begins to disappear and his feelings begin to morph from empathy into affection. Now Caelum must deal with the emotions that are boiling up inside him, as well as coping with doing his obligation that was given to him millennia ago.
