"Your ears will hear a word behind you, saying, 'this is the way, walk in it' when you turn to the left or when you turn to the right." Isaiah 30:21
The world is full of voices, in fact, it is often difficult to hear at all because of the cacophony that surrounds us. Whether the physical voices of people, or the virtual ones that cry out from our smart phones, televisions, advertisers and influencers, we are bombarded with noise. Being able to be still and hear the voice of the Lord has become more and more difficult. Eden and her friends have begun their advanced training to become Gibbor Chayil, the King's most highly skilled and valued warriors. However, in the midst of their training, they too find themselves challenged as to who to listen to.
Shortly after arriving at The Lodge, their home for the following year, one of the Masters is murdered. Can one of their own be responsible for this tragedy? Parzel has been behaving strangely, there are new trainees that the friends hardly know, and the Town of Oxdalen is only a short boat ride away. The suspects are innumerable. Who can they believe, what path will they take? Join Eden as she seeks to find answers, fights to protect the King and ultimately herself.
