L. A. Mont'e was born in Chicago, Illinois, in 1967. He resides in Parker, Colorado, with his wife, four children, five grandchildren, and two dogs. He joined the Navy in 1985 and retired in 2014. He was a Deputy Sheriff for six years in Colorado before his career with the Railroad, which he retired from in 2024. His hobbies are golf and physical fitness.
