This book analyses the themes of individualism, hope, and physical and mental illness, which are central to most works of Garcia Marquez from a psychological perspective. The authors have made an attempt to obtain a deeper insight in to the working of human minds portrayed in his novels. By analysing the motivating factors in a characters' goal setting, the support structure of the characters' determination and hope the authors have tried to find the connection between happiness and success and inturn, surmise a set of postulates for contentment in life.
