In this lyrical tale of rhymes, resilience and discovery, we journey with a tenacious young sapling whisked away by the rushing whims of fate. From a forest cradle to embracing the vastness of the sea, our courageous protagonist forges bonds with oceanic creatures, persevering through the caress of the elements. As the land beckons from afar, an unexpected reunion unfolds on distant shores with kin, lost and found. Together, they find solace in the embrace of a new arboreal fellowship, where hope blossoms anew amongst kindred pines, and life's continuous cycle promises growth and connection beyond the bounds of their beginnings. Herein lies a story of not only a child's endurance and overcoming but of the overcoming power of a shared love between parent and child Which knows no boundaries or distance. A story that proves the lessons we are taught as children last throughout our lives and can push us in a positive direction or leave us wanting for advice when alone. Unlike my father who was from the city and spent his childhood moving around, a fate i followed to a lesser extent. My mother grew up in a small town deep in the county, and even though she traveled and visited elsewhere, that little country town was her home and so to became mine when her and my dad settled down and had me. This small town upbringing I do believe is the reason why I can speak first-hand to the volume of storytelling and a reading their child a story, over television and an ipod game during of time shared together. 33 years of age now and I still cherish the memories of time spent together and adventurous tails of tricky spiders and bo-rabbets that learn not to lie, of magic and munsterous beasts and that sometimes it's okay to cry. So let's build lasting family bonds, with a story.
